Join an exploration of Hardangervidda with mountain skis, pulks and tents in expedition-style. Experience the ruggedness and freedom by travelling by your own machine in demanding winter mountains. Feel the safety by being part of a team. Challenge yourself under the expert guidance of competent local guides.
The crossing starts at Finse on Monday. There we will have a look at all the equipment and make sure that everything is in order. Supplies can also be bought here. We will start with getting to know each other and go through the tour plan. Tuesday our journey south starts. Each day we will travel about 15-20 kilometres by skis dragging our gear in a pulk, and we will live in tent camps along the way. Sunday we will ski down the last hills to Haukeliseter and finish off with a review of the trip, lots of hugs and high-fives!
This trip is suitable for everyone with experience from backuntry mountain travel, and those who are comfortable with cross country mountain skis outside of groomed trails. You should also be in fairly good shape and be sure that you can travel long days with a small backpack while dragging a pulk (toboggan) with a minimum load of 40kilos.
Trips like this can involve cold and serious weather, so you need to be prepared for that.
We, as organizers, will provide with all expedition gear for the team: meaning that we provide expedition-tents, burners/stoves, pulks, fuel and safety equipment. Food for all days are included as well.
You will have to provide with personal gear. Including: clothing, skis, sleeping bag, snacks and other items. We will make sure to provide a detailed packing list and be of help with any questions regarding equipment. Some equipment may be possible to rent on request.
Interested? Please contact us.

Anybody you would love to bring on this trip? Feel free to share with a friend who would be up for the challenge.
